The F.Macari business is a family-run Italian traditional fish and chip takeaway operated by Francesco Macari and his family.
There are many Macari Families in Ireland well known for their fish and chips. It is assumed that we are all the same family. Despite us all almost coming from one of the same villages of Val Di Comino, this particular Macari group was EST. in 1959 by Libero and Giulia Macari, Francesco's parents. They came from one of those well-known villages called Casalattico in Southern Italy and opened their first takeaway business in Bolton Street, Dublin.
Even though Francesco and his family are still part of the infamous "Macari Chippers", Francesco has recently established his own high-quality brand name, F.Macari, as it will define us and our quality foods and methods carried from our families through the generations and refined for you, our valued customer.
From a young age, Francesco learned the trade of his family-run business and he now takes pride in teaching the trade to his own three children and to his granddaughters to keep up the tradition of the family-run takeaway.
Today we are proud to reach the fourth generation of preparing our local community’s real fresh hand-cut chips and fish. Throughout the years we have expanded our menu from the classic 1 and 1 (fish ‘n chips) to cater for every one's taste buds. Using the finest ingredients we now offer southern fried chicken coated in our own homemade spices, juicy kebabs, tasty burgers, wraps, and of course our very popular homemade sauces. We are currently working on introducing “light options” to our menu.
